GCCSI – MENA Phase I

CCS TLM examined the potential for CCS in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region that involved a high level review of all the sources and potential storage sites for CO2 in the region by country.

The work also identified the benefits and barriers to the successful deployment of CCS technology in the region.

GCCSI – MENA Phase II

Following on from Phase I, CCS TLM were asked to perform a second phase to the work where the scope was to provide a summary of the policies, regulatory frameworks, key political and industry bodies and individuals, NGO’s and financial institutions applicable to CCS deployment in the MENA region.

The work also incorporated an action plan for further engagement and acceleration of deployment and capacity building of CCS in the region.
