Head of Power Consulting: Jeroen Soenen

Jeroen joined CCS TLM coming from Tractebel Engineering, where he occupied several senior engineering functions. At CCS TLM, Jeroen will be responsible for the power plant related aspects of CCS projects.

From 2009 up to his departure from Tractebel Engineering, Jeroen has been a project manager within the Power Plant Development department. In that function he was deeply involved in the FEED for the ROAD-project in Rotterdam (The Netherlands), so far one of the largest full chain CCS demonstration plants under development. Besides his involvement in the development of the CCS knowledge within the GDF SUEZ group, Jeroen has also led a number of combined cycle development projects.

Before joining the Power Plant Development department, Jeroen was an Asset Manager, involved in the assessment of the repair, replacement and maintenance strategy of the Belgian power plant fleet of Electrabel for which he developed a number of methodologies and tools.

Jeroen started his career within Tractebel Engineering in the I&C department where he managed a number of plant automation refurbishment projects in different parts of the world

Prior to working for Tractebel Engineering, Jeroen worked for GE and the Fraunhofer Institute Aachen.

Jeroen currently lives with his family in Clapham, Greater London.
